Jazz Educators' Circle

New for the 2010-2011 season, the Jazz Educators' Circle (JEC) is charged with implementing JPEC’s various jazz education initiatives. The JEC is made up of representatives from the University of Toronto, Humber College, York University and Mohawk College, and has a mandate to:

• Provide educational outreach including visiting elementary and secondary schools
• Organize master classes with visiting artists
• Promote and showcase Canadian music
• Encourage the creation of new Canadian jazz compositions
